An animal-loving Assembly Member has praised the ‘amazing’ work of Guide Dogs Cymru after a team from the charity visited the Senedd.
Ken Skates, the Labour AM for Clwyd South, said it was vital to continue to raise awareness of the importance of guide dogs for thousands of people in Wales and across the UK.
Mr Skates added: “I thoroughly enjoyed visiting the team. It was a great opportunity to show my support for Guide Dogs Cymru as an organisation, as well as learn about how it ensures those who need guide dogs receive the best support and care possible.
“It was also fascinating to walk through the ‘Sensory Tunnel’, which gave me a chance to see what someone with a guide dog can expect. As a dog owner myself, I couldn’t resist the chance to meet some of the dogs currently undergoing training to become future guides.”
