A thriving construction company has been praised for investing in Wrexham after a visit by local politicians Ken Skates and Ian Lucas.
The Labour Assembly Member and MP visited DMR (North Wales) Ltd in Minera on Friday (October 6) to meet the team and see their local projects first-hand.
DMR, based on Five Crosses Industrial Estate, is one of a number of local businesses owned by Wrexham-based builders Bryn Property Company (BPC), who have been building in the county for more than half a century.
Mr Skates, AM for Clwyd South, said: “It was great to visit DMR and hear more about some of their current projects in the area. The business and its sister companies make an important contribution to the local economy. I’d like to thank director John Small and the team for their warm welcome.”
BPC purchases brownfield sites for redevelopment into rental apartments and DMR works almost exclusively for BPC in building the homes. Ongoing projects include building 24 flats and four commercial units on Pen Y Bryn in Wrexham, with another 23 planned on Chester Road.
“Our goal is to develop quality buildings in and around Wrexham centre which will be desirable places to live now and in the future, requiring low maintenance due to the quality of the initial build,” said Mr Small.
Wrexham MP Mr Lucas added: “DMR are a great local company who are investing in Wrexham. I’ve met them before to discuss our town centre and always found them very helpful – I was delighted to visit them alongside Ken.”
