AM congratulates school sport stars

Assembly Member Ken Skates visited a primary school to congratulate young sports stars on their recent success.

The Year 6 girls rugby team won the local Crusaders Cup earlier this year and the school was then honoured at the Wrexham Sports Awards at Brymbo Sports and Social Club earlier this month.

Mr Skates said: “It was great to meet PE co-ordinator Simon Williams and the girls and to congratulate them in person on their superb efforts, which have seen them appear on national TV flying the flag for Cefn.

“All the school’s sports clubs are run by teachers and parents, it’s a great team effort and is certainly seems to be paying off. The girls have done brilliantly.”
