CLWYD SOUTH AM KEN SKATES attended a public exhibition of plans for a new development near Ruabon which could include 300 homes, a supermarket and business park.
The Labour Assembly Member spoke to residents and community leaders including local councillor Dana Davies when the proposals went on display at the Wynnstay Arms in Ruabon on Friday (September 20) and Plas Madoc Community Centre on Saturday (September 21).

The developers are expected to apply to Wrexham County Borough Council for formal planning permission later this year for the scheme on 56.5 acres of agricultural land between the two communities.
Mr Skates AM said: “The plans going on display for members of the public to see was an important opportunity for people in the communities of Ruabon and Plas Madoc to make their voices heard.
“I visited the exhibition in Ruabon on Friday, which was very well-attended, and got the chance to speak to several members of the public. Some people had concerns about the size of the development and the possible impact on services such as school and doctors’ surgeries in the area, but generally the feedback was very positive.”
He added: “People who didn’t get the chance to go along to either of the exhibitions can still find out more by visiting www.ruabonpark.co.uk.”
Developers say the project could create 1,500 jobs. A spokesman said 335 people attended over the two days, with two out of every three people who completed a survey in favour of the plans.
