Member of the Senedd Ken Skates is launching a competition to ask local artists of all ages to design his official Clwyd South Christmas card.
The winning design will be chosen by Mr Skates and First Minister Mark Drakeford and be sent to schools, businesses, community groups and residents throughout his constituency.
Unlike in previous years, the contest is not just for local schoolchildren.
“I know there are many talented artists of all ages in Clwyd South, so for a change I thought we could open the competition up to everyone,” said Mr Skates.
“Every time I have run this competition with local schools, I have been inundated with fantastic entries and we’ve had some brilliant Clwyd South Christmas cards during my time as Member of the Senedd. But this year I wanted to do something a bit different.
“I held my most recent advice surgery at Plas Pentwyn in Coedpoeth, and there were some stunning paintings produced by local artists there. I know there are many similar groups across Clwyd South, so this year I’m asking adults to take part too and give the youngsters a run for their money.”
Entries can be posted to Mr Skates’ office at Unit 22, The Malthouse Business Centre, Regent Street, Llangollen, LL20 8HS or scanned and emailed to [email protected]. Please ensure you include your name and contact details or school.
